Just Be Kind, It's Easy - Club
A group of kids wanted to raise some money to do “stuff” over the summer of 2015. We felt that making and selling t-shirts would be a good way to earn money and push the very basic, but important message – Just Be Kind! Thus, the Just Be Kind Club was born. Our motivation has now turned to spreading the kindness message everywhere. We have also recognized the importance of giving back to the community, so we give donations to other organizations that need assistance. Our goal is plain and simple, remind people to be kind. Our belief is that there is more goodness than not. If interested in learning more please email [email protected]

American Cancer Society - Road to Recovery Program
Transportation can be one of a cancer patient’s biggest roadblocks to treatment. That’s why the American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides patients in need with free rides to treatment. For those who cannot drive themselves or have no other means of getting to cancer-related medical appointments, volunteers donate their time to give patients a much-needed ride. Right now, one of the biggest barriers to cancer care is transportation. Because, even the best treatment can’t work if a patient can’t get there.
All volunteers must have: A valid driver’s license, a good driving record, access to a safe and reliable vehicle, computer or tablet access, and some flexible availability Monday-Fridays from 8am-6pm. The American Cancer Society screens and trains all volunteer drivers and coordinates the rides for patients. Volunteer drivers donate their time and can provide as many rides as they want.
To learn more about volunteering for the Road To Recovery program, contact Program Manager, Hannah Meinen at 317-344-7814 or by email at [email protected]. Cancer patients who want more information on using transportation services can call the 24-hour hotline at 1-800-227-2345.

Hendricks Symphony / Symphonic Society
The Hendricks Symphonic Society is a non-profit volunteer organization formed to provide an educational, cultural, and recreational outlet for talented area performers to share and promote the arts of choral and orchestral music, perform on a regular basis, and produce quality music for the community to enjoy. The Hendricks Symphonic Society’s Mission is to provide a broad range of excellent classical music experiences for the community that INSPIRE, CHALLENGE, and EDUCATE our AUDIENCE, MUSICIANS, and STUDENTS. (The word ICE is used to remember the three components; Inspire, Challenge, and Educate. There is a connection between inspiring the audience, challenging the musicians, and educating students.)
Just Be Kind - It's Easy
A group of kids wanted to raise some money to do “stuff” over the summer of 2015. We felt that making and selling t-shirts would be a good way to earn money and push the very basic, but important message – Just Be Kind! Thus, the Just Be Kind Club was born. Our motivation has now turned to spreading the kindness message everywhere. We have also recognized the importance of giving back to the community, so we give donations to other organizations that need assistance. Our goal is plain and simple, remind people to be kind. Our belief is that there is more goodness than not. If interested in learning more please email [email protected].
