A COAD will create an organizational structure so that, should a disaster hit Hendricks County, the framework will already be in place for organizing the process of recovering from the disaster. This includes having designated committees that will handle various aspects of disaster recovery. We also invite organizations to consider how they might be able to assist the community during a disaster. Those that are willing to help will then sign a document (an MOU or Memorandum of Understanding) stating that they agree to provide this assistance, in the event of a disaster. This can make the recovery effort go more smoothly, since the signatory organizations will all know in advance what role they will play in the recovery effort.
Community Paramedicine Program - Hendricks Regional Health
Community paramedicine brings supportive resources to the doorstep of community members with non-emergent needs. A team consisting of a paramedic and social worker will respond and spend as much time as needed to help the individual get the appropriate care and find the resources they need. This program is a partnership between Hendricks Regional Health and the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies of Hendricks County. Services are available through referrals from these partner EMS agencies, a doctor or hospital staff member.
Cummins Behavioral Health Systems

Cummins BHS is located in Avon and provides outpatient group and individual substance use treatment, as well as other mental health services. After an initial intake is completed and substance use is assessed, individual services may be recommended as well as group services. Individual services for substance abuse treatment are tailored to meet individual needs. Cummins also offers a Relapse Prevention Group. As of Fall 2016, the Cummins Hendricks Office is adding an intensive outpatient treatment program, which will last approximately 12 weeks. Additionally, as of Fall 2016, the Hendricks Cummins team added an adolescent school based substance use treatment program.

They are open Tuesdays 6pm - 8:30pm and Saturday’s 10am - 2pm. They accept the above mentioned items (new and gently used) as donations as well as monetary donations for otheir operating expenses. All donations are tax deductible. Families may visit once a month.

This is done through various athletic programs, our after school character building, and music lessons. We do also serve those in need through our food pantry, financial assistance for housing or utilities, Senior Food box program, through our urban community garden, providing assistance at Christmas with toys for families and providing a church community. We also help meet the needs of our community through varies social groups such as our women's group, men's group, young adult fellowship, Senior Lunch Program on Wednesday.

- Stability Builders Network: Connecting people in need in our community with the agencies and churches that can help. Family Promise receives the crisis calls, provides assistance and connects needs with volunteers, churches and agencies that can help. Members of the network refer people in need to Family Promise where a needs assessment is completed and appropriate crisis intervention is provided. Family Promise then continues to work with the family/individual to create or maintain stability for up to two years as needed.

- Crisis Response Team: The purpose of the HENDRICKS COUNTY CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM is to provide trauma mitigation, education and emotional first aid in the aftermath of a critical incident either small scale or mass casualty. The Hendricks County Crisis Response Team will provide critical incident debriefing and support for first responders.
