Description
Indiana is at the onset of a jobs explosion! In the next 10 years, we expect to need some 1 million workers to fill jobs. AMERICAN INDIAN CENTER OF INDIANA

Offers comprehensive workforce development services to American Indians, Hawaiians, and Alaska Natives residing in Indiana. Services include assessment, job search and placement assistance, career counseling, training and education counseling, work experience/on-the-job training, and supportive services for those with special needs. May be able to help with the cost of GED classes and testing. |
INDYPENDENCE JOB CORPS CENTER
Description
Offers a full-time education and job-training program for women ages 16-24. Business technology and certified nursing assistant (CAN) programs are available, as well as GED or high school diploma assistance (if needed), career planning and life skills classes. Participants receive a basic living allowance, health and dental care, a daily meal, and transitional assistance upon graduation. Length of participation is generally 8-24 months. This is not a residential program; the center can help participants secure affordable child care. |

Description
Helps ex-offenders integrate themselves back into the community through a 6-month transitional employment and support program. Enrollment is limited to persons who were released from jail or prison within the past 120 days and ho have been referred to the program by their probation or parole officer. |

Program Description
Westside Professional Women invites professional and business women from Hendricks, Boone, Marion, Morgan, and Putnam Counties to come and join us for networking and to support each other in our efforts to become women who can make a difference. We are a group of business owners and professional women who meet once a month to: Network, Learn about topics important to our businesses and about our communities, Support each other and our communities, and Raise funds for our annual scholarship program. Scholarships are given to Hendricks county high school girls and women looking to further their education and/or need education to return to the work force.

AchieveWELL meets organizations where they are and guides them to the next level of wellness by using tools, templates and personal coaching to help deliver a comprehensive and consistent workplace wellness initiative. It is a free program available exclusively to members of the Wellness Council of Indiana. No one can guarantee that any program will lower your company’s costs, but a properly run wellness initiative will greatly better your chances of reducing health care costs, injuries and absenteeism, while increasing productivity, presenteeism and engagement at work.

The Office of Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship serves to develop and implement a framework of various work-based learning pathways for both youth and adult populations. The office concentrates on three objectives:
Coordinate efforts and partner with the U.S. Department of Labor to expand registered apprenticeships in the state of Indiana. Develop and implement a framework of work-based learning pathways with a focus on the state’s key economic sectors and regional high wage, high-demand occupations.
Build public-private partnerships statewide to increase business and industry engagement with education systems based on local economic needs
