The Eskenazi Health Transgender Health & Wellness Program, located on the fifth floor of the Sandra Eskenazi Outpatient Care Center, provides primary care and specialty services for older adolescent and adult transgender patients of all gender identities. The first of its kind in Indiana, the program connects primary care and continuous support with surgical options provided through University Gender Affirmation Surgery. Established in March 2016, the program includes many skilled team members trained in the WPATH standards of care. From primary care physicians and a surgeon, to nurses and caring support staff, all are dedicated to serving the transgender community with excellence.

Gender Expansive Kids and Company
We exist to help you, parents and family of those with atypical gender journeys. The Indiana Youth Group (IYG) serves LGBTQ youth ages 12-20. In the last few years, more parents have been requesting services for transgender children ages 12 and under. This group was born of that demand. Co-founded by two parents of transgender children, GEKCO brings families of gender expansive children together. To keep our families safe, we vet prospective members and accept referrals from IYG, PFLAG, therapists, counselors and other trusted sources, including other group members. Indy Pride, Inc. produces events which educate, honor our history, and celebrate the diversity of the Indianapolis Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community. OutCare Health is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the purpose of providing extensive information and education on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) healthcare. OutCare recognizes the unique health needs of LGBTQ individuals and connects them with the most appropriate healthcare providers, resources, and events. Gender dysphoria is a condition in which someone’s experienced gender does not match the gender other people assign to him or her. Without proper care and support, adolescents with gender dysphoria are at increased risk of depression, suicide, sexually transmitted diseases and physical, emotional and sexual abuse. The Gender Health Program at Riley at IU Health strives to prevent these problems and promotes the well-being of your child. The Gender Health Program offers comprehensive support to children, teens and young adults who have experienced gender dysphoria for longer than six months and who may or may not desire to become a different gender. We are the only gender health program in Indiana serving patients under age 21.

Strides specializes in equine assisted learning and therapy. Clients that are not comfortable with traditional talk therapy might find that the welcoming environment of the farm and the addition of specially trained horses provide a more productive and calming atmosphere to uncover answers. We believe that everyone has their own solutions within. The horses and the highly trained professionals serve as guides to help you find new patterns of behaviors and help clients to find their own personal strengths and gifts. Strides also offers traditional talk therapy through a collaboration with four therapist that specialize in pre and post adoption, TBRI, trauma, abuse, grief and loss depression, ADHD, anxiety, military/veterans. TransIndy is a peer-led social/support group for transgender and gender diverse people in central Indiana. We meet on the fourth Saturday of every month at 3:00 P.M. at Life Journey Church. Typical attendance at a meeting ranges from 15 to 25 people with equal representation of transgender people and SOFFAs (significant others, friends, family, and allies). We also have active and supportive Email Lists and an active Facebook Group. We provide support to our members and our community through open monthly meetings, information booths at pride festivals, resource sharing, and general mentorship.

Trans Lifeline is a national trans-led 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the quality of trans lives by responding to the critical needs of our community with direct service, material support, advocacy, and education. Our vision is to fight the epidemic of trans suicide and improve overall life-outcomes of trans people by facilitating justice-oriented, collective community aid.
