Tobacco, E-cigarette, and Vaping Cessation

Voluntary health organization whose mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research.

BABY & ME – Tobacco Free™ at the Hendricks County Health Department
BABY & ME – Tobacco Free is a free quit smoking program uniquely created for pregnant women to help them quit during pregnancy and stay quit after giving birth. During pregnancy, participants receive four quit smoking sessions and referral to the Indiana Tobacco Quitline. After birth, participants receive monthly testing for tobacco use and receive a $25 voucher for diapers for every month up to 12 months they are tobacco-free. Participants can enroll with a Support Partner who completes the program with them and receives an additional $25 voucher.
There are no income or age restrictions for the program. Participants and Support Partners must be a daily smoker or was a daily smoker within three months of becoming pregnant, be willing to quit all tobacco products (including e-cigarettes and chewing tobacco), participate in all quit smoking sessions prior to birth, and take monthly breath tests to determine tobacco use. E-Cigarette / Vaping / Juuling -- Educational Materials (Click Here)
HCHP, Tobacco Free Hendricks County, and the HC Substance Abuse Task Force partnered together to create the following posters, social media graphics, and print/email flyers -- targeting students and adults regarding the dangers of e-cigarette smoking, vaping, and juuling.

Hendricks Regional Health
Provides screening and direct referral to the Indiana Tobacco Quitline via electronic medical records.

Indiana Tobacco Quitline
Provides free phone, web, and text-based tobacco cessation services.

Indiana Tobacco Quitline Preferred Provider Network
Provides resources to health care providers, employers, and community agencies to refer patients and clients to the Indiana Tobacco Quitline and help them quit tobacco.

Labor of Love
Labor of Love is a product of the Indiana State Department of Health in cooperation with other organizations to combat the unacceptable rates of infant mortality in Indiana. The website includes information on tobacco cessation for pregnant women and their families.

Little Red Door Cancer Agency
Established in 1945, Little Red Door Cancer Agency works to reduce the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer for medically underserved residents of central Indiana by providing free client services, cancer screenings and education.


Promoting Smokefree Pregnancies in Indiana
Promoting Smokefree Pregnancies in Indiana (PSPI) is a statewide, voluntary multi-sector coalition of individuals and organizations dedicated to reducing the prevalence of smoking among women of childbearing age. PSPI provides fact sheets, tool kits, conference calls and other networking events, and various other resources. Visit their website for more information.

Smoke-Free Housing Indiana
Assists landlords in making their property smoke-free as well as provide tobacco free coalitions with the resources they need to further assist the properties in their communities who are interested in implementing a smoke-free housing policy.

Tobacco Free Hendricks County
Coordinates collaboration among local partners to reduce tobacco use and secondhand smoke exposure in Hendricks County.
