PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

​IndyGo 8 - North and South Plainfield Connector Route
Summary: This bus line runs through major employer centers and connects people to jobs such as Fedex, Walmart, and Amazon. 
​Details: 
​The Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA) offers a North Plainfield Connector and a South Plainfield Connector where passengers can transfer at the The connector travels through the Plainfield industrial parks next to the airport, connecting you to jobs paying up to $24 an hour. The North Plainfield Connector travels to Adesa and through the Allpoints Midwest industrial park area, making 5 stops providing access to jobs at Ingram Micro, PDS, Regal, Tempur-Sealy, and the Walmart eCommerce Fulfillment Center. The Plainfield Connector travels through the Plainfield industrial park area, making 11 stops on Airtech, Whitaker, Reeves, and Perry Road.

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE

LINK- HENDRICKS COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSIT
Summary: This program provides round-trips to anyone in Hendricks County for $6-8, but requires making an appointment in advance.

​Details: LINK Hendricks County provides public transit service to persons of any age (including wheelchair transport, portable oxygen, attendants, and service animals). Services are available to anyone needing a ride within Hendricks County. 

Guidelines: Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If your child falls under the Indiana Child Seat Law you must provide a state-approved car seat. LINK service is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so riders are encouraged to call as soon as possible, with 48 hours notice and up to five (5) weeks in advance. 
Operating Schedule: Curb-to-curb transportation is available Monday through Friday, during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Service is not available on holidays or when inclement weather prohibits safe boarding and/or travel. 
Transportation fees: This is a fee-based service, $6 round trip within a town; $8 round trip within the county. 
Schedule: The service is scheduled by calling LINK at 317-718-4474 and requesting LINK transportation.

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE FOR SENIORS

Hendricks County Senior Services provides transportation services to anyone, 60 or older, needing a ride within Hendricks County. Transportation is provided for daily necessities, like medical appointments, grocery shopping, legal, social service, financial business, nutrition sites, and other life-essential service destinations. This service is provided on a donation basis.
Our transportation services are provided by properly licensed staff who receive regular appropriate training. We are committed to the safe operation and maintenance of our vehicles, including the safe boarding and unloading of passengers.

​Guidelines: Appointments are made on a first come/first served basis for door-to-door transportation (including wheelchair transport, portable oxygen, attendants, and service animals) for destinations in Hendricks County. Transportation is available five days a week during office hours (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). Service is not available on holidays or when the weather is inclement.

CENTRAL INDIANA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (CIRTA)

The Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA) is a regional governmental organization (IC 36-9-3) focused on bringing more transportation options to Central Indiana. We are working to better connect Indianapolis with suburban and rural communities in Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, Boone, Delaware and Madison counties. Improving and increasing our transit options helps employees and employers alike throughout the region.​

MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION

HENDRICKSGO! MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

HendricksGO! provides shared-ride transportation to medical and wellness appointments. The program is a partnership between Hendricks Regional Health and Hendricks County Senior Services for the benefit of patients served by Hendricks Regional Health Facilities. 

Fare is $5 per person whether you schedule a one-way or round trip. The fare must be paid at the time of pick-up (cash or check). Drivers cannot make change. A monthly pass is available for $25 and includes unlimited scheduled medical trips (based on availability). Children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no charge for an attendant to accompany a rider.​

To reserve a ride, call (317) 718-4476 Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Vehicles are wheelchair-accessible.
