Description
We provide emergency food, sanitation supplies, and clothing. Occasionally we can help with emergency rent or hotel stays along with life skill classes, education, job training and placement. An individual, veteran, or family in need can apply to be in our Path To Success program, which evaluates the best way to get them onto a path of sustainability.
Our first transitional housing and job training community is located at Camp Camby. The camp is the perfect location for our transitional model located just south of Plainfield and about 15 minute drive to downtown.

(CAGI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the reduction and ultimate elimination of poverty among the clients in its service area. Family Promise of Hendricks County
Description
The mission of Family Promise of Hendricks County is to fight homelessness in Hendricks County by coordinating immediate shelter and needs assistance programs alongside longer term compassionate support services for families in all areas of life. This programs providing housing, meals, social services, and transportation to participating families. Stability Builders Network: Connecting people in need in our community with the agencies and churches that can help. Family Promise receives the crisis calls, provides assistance and connects needs with volunteers, churches and agencies that can help. Members of the network refer people in need to Family Promise where a needs assessment is completed and appropriate crisis intervention is provided. Family Promise then continues to work with the family/individual to create or maintain stability for up to two years as needed. |

A family receiving a voucher must pay at least 30% of its monthly adjusted gross income for rent and utilities. The vouchers are generally administered and can by applied for through local public housing authorities.

Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District
The Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District is dedicated to promoting recycling, waste reduction and responsible waste management within Hendricks County. The District was formed on December 31, 2004, with the responsibility of reducing the amount of waste sent from Hendricks County to final solid waste disposal facilities. That goal is accomplished by providing waste reduction, reuse and recycling education and services to residents of the county. In addition, the District works to ensure that problem wastes are disposed of properly.
- Tox-Away Days are scheduled at various locations around the community each year to collect household hazardous wastes (HHW) and “problem wastes” from Hendricks County residents.

The mission of Stopover recognizes the natural desire and best interest of adolescent youth to maintain family relationships even as they seek independence. Stopover is actively involved in helping program participants identify and connect with adults who are appropriate in supporting their quest for independence and self sufficiency.
